Madison the chat bot makes its WCU debut

You may have stumbled across her name at the bottom right hand corner of the myWCU page, inviting you for a chat if you’re in need of support from the Division of Information Technology. Don’t be afraid. Engage in a chat. Madison, as she is called, is Western Carolina University’s new chat bot, which was launched Tuesday, Feb. 25, as a beta test by the IT Help Desk

Week of activities to culminate with installation of Kelli Brown as WCU's chancellor

Kelli R. Brown will be installed as chancellor of Western Carolina University during a formal ceremony Friday, March 27, capping a week of activities designed to spotlight the university’s impact across the mountain region and the role WCU will play in the future of North Carolina.

De Silva, Davis named to All-SoCon Faculty and Staff Team

During Western Carolina University’s men’s basketball game Saturday night against The Citadel, the Southern Conference will recognize Channa De Silva, associate professor of chemistry, and Lowell Davis, associate vice chancellor for student success.
