Catamount life is ongoing and full of opportunities for students to become involved and make an impact on campus and within the surrounding community! Students who are involved with organizations are more connected to their university and perform better in the classroom, and with more than 150 student organizations in areas such as Fraternity and Sorority life, Student Government Association, Club Sports, Academic Interest, Leadership, Spirituality, and more… there's an activity for you at WCU! Get involved in some of our programs such as Dance Marathon, Cat Camp, the Vagina Monologues, the MLK, Jr. Week Celebration, or the Whee Lead Conference. Through outdoor recreation trips, outdoor equipment rental, and experiential education services, Base Camp Cullowhee provides experiences that foster student engagement, synthesis of knowledge and skills, community building, healthy recreation habits, and student retention. And there are also many opportunities within Student Media if you are looking to get involved with radio, TV, newspaper, or journal writing. So Catamounts… bring out your purple pride, and get involved in the many opportunities that await you!
Please note the WCU Recognized Student Organization Policies and Procedures Manual is currently under review, and this draft will be finalized soon. The final version will be posted on the WCU OrgSync website.
