A total of 2,163 students have been named to the Western Carolina University dean’s list for fall semester 2014, and 1,058 of those students also achieved an additional academic honor by being named to the chancellor’s list for the fall semester.
To qualify for the dean’s list, students must achieve at least a 3.5 grade-point average out of a possible 4.0 on a regular semester’s work of not less than 12 hours, excluding remedial courses, with no grade of D+, D, D-, F, W,WF or I. Students named to the chancellor’s list also met those specifications while achieving a grade-point average of 3.8 or higher.
