Dillsboro is home to the Western North Carolina Pottery Festival, an annual event that takes place during the first weekend of November. Established in 2005, the pottery festival features demonstrations of throwing and firing, as well as display booths selling the work of master potters from the region and beyond. Dillsboro is also home to several craft and pottery shops, including Treehouse Pottery, Riverwood Pottery, Oaks Gallery, Dogwood Crafters, Claymates, and the Jackson County Green Energy Park. Galleries in nearby Sylva include It's By Nature, Gallery One, and the Fiery Gizzard.
