Sport management is the application of business principles to the sport industry. As an academic discipline, sport management is dynamic and focuses on sport-specific concepts within the framework of business and management. Ethical, social and legal theories are also used to examine issues that are unique to the sport industry. In Western Carolina University’s Master of Science in Sport Management, hands-on skills and expertise serve as cornerstones of the curriculum, so that our graduates are Business-Ready® for opportunities that come their way after completion of the program.
