Robotics with Legos
June 20-24, 2016 / Rising 5th and 6th graders

About the Camp

This hands on camp uses Legos and Lego robotics June 20 through June 24th for rising 5th and 6th graders. Students will explore the technology behind robotic technology while building and programming with LEGO building sets. They will be challenged with LEGO LME V3 (these are the newest kits from LEGO) robotic programming and will build their own robotic creations and have the opportunity to challenge their knowledge with mini competitions and challenges during the week.

Details

The camp meets from 9 am to 4 pm Monday-Thursday. On Friday, the camp will meet from 9-2. Campers will eat lunch daily in Courtyard dining on campus and will be accompanied by the teacher and an assistant at all times.

On Friday, students will showcase some of their work at 1 pm for parents, grandparents and any special quest of the student. Anyone wishing to come or lunch can purchase a meal ticket in the dining hall and eat with the campers on Friday.

Early registration by May 29 is $119.00. After May 29th registration is $159.00.

About the Camp

Students will explore the technology behind robotic technology while building and programming with LEGO® building sets. If you have been to the camp before, you are in for a treat. The 2016 camp will be using the latest LEGO® Mindstorms EV-3 robotic kits. Campers will be programing building their own robotic creations and have the opportunity to challenge their knowledge with mini competitions & challenges throughout the week!

Details

The camp will meet daily from 9-4 pm Monday-Thursday. On Friday the camp will meet from 9-2. Campers will eat lunch daily in the WCU Courtyard Dining on campus. Kids will be accompanied by the teacher and an assistant at all times.

On Friday, the camp will meet from 9-2 with a showcase from 1pm to 2 pm for parents and grandparents and any special guest of the student. Anyone wishing to come for lunch can purchase a meal ticket in the dining hall and eat with the campers on Friday.

Early registration by May 15 is $119.00. After May 15, registration is $159.00.
