Experience:
Dr. Paige Dagenhard-Trainer joined the School of Health Sciences in the fall of 2016.  Prior to this appointment, she was completing her Ph.D. at the University of Toledo, Ohio.  Additionally, she worked as a Recreational Therapist from 2012-2016 in a Behavioral Health Institute in Ohio.  Dr. Dagenhard-Trainer plays an active role in her professional field by reviewing for two practicing journals (Therapeutic Recreation Journal & Journal of Health Promotion Practice).  She has also attended training and is a HeartMath Certified Trainer since 2017, specifically trained in providing biofeedback treatment as well as educational resilience trainings.  In addition, she has made several national and regional presentations.

Scholarly Interests:
Primary scholarly interests include intervention and modality specialties in the field of Recreational Therapy including but not limited to HeartMath and flow arts. Prior to appointment in Recreational Therapy, scholarly interests in the field of public health included active shooter preparedness in schools and ALICE Training.
