Bardo Arts Center

John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center

 Whether you need space for 15 or 8,000, WCU has the space for your special event.  The Ramsey Regional Activity Center has an 8,000 seat main arena, a 25,000 square foot concourse, a private hospitality room and an auxiliary gym available for use.  The John W. Bardo Fine Arts Center has a 1,000 seat performance hall and houses the Star Lobby and Gallery Room for display and reception areas.  State of the art meeting space is available in the center of campus at the A.K. Hinds University Center and Blue Ridge Hall.  Detailed amenities available in the meeting rooms can be found below:

The Performance Hall features an elegant 1,000-seat theatre, with newly-tuned acoustics and state-of-the-art lighting system. Bardo Arts Center also houses a more intimate performance setting for workshops and events called The Studio, similar to a traditional Black Box Theatre. The Arts Center is the perfect setting for your large group meetings, as well as the ability to add flare to your large group check-in.

 

This room is preset with tables and chairs for 45 people.  Set up is flexible and can seat up to 60 classroom style.

Western Carolina's academic buildings are centrally located on campus to best serve your group's needs. All classrooms have "smart" capabilities including computers, VGA hookup, and projectors. Guests may rearrange classrooms to best fit their needs, so long as they are reset at the end of your conference.

Guests are welcome to utilize the Music Recital Hall in the Coulter Building, a 440-seat concert venue, for their meeting or performance needs. A Steinway grand piano and a small pipe organ are available for performances.

This conference style meeting space is set up with round tables, dual projector capabilities, and podium space for your guests to lead meetings, workshops, and special events.

  • Lecture Seating: 500 people
  • Banquet Seating: 225
  • Information Fair: 40 8' tables
  • Can be soft-partitioned for smaller meetings

The picnic area, located by the softball field, is the ideal place for events such as cookouts, reunions, birthday parties, and more! The picnic area includes a covered shelter (under which are picnic tables, a grill, and electrical outlets), a wide expanse of grassy lawn next to the creek with several more picnic tables placed around, and working restrooms (not available during the winter months).
