This camp is designed to initiate, enhance, and strengthen interests in many different aspects of science. The week will begin with experiments designed to exemplify scientific method. These skills will then be used to learn about genetics, mammalian anatomy and physiology, ecology, and our place in the ecosystem. High-energy laboratory work, fieldwork, and field trips to Balsam Mountain Preserve and Water Rock Knob will be conducted. The week will also include guest speakers who’ll help us discover more about our environment and ourselves.
