WCU at Biltmore Park is committed to serving professionals in the greater Asheville region through opportunities for continuing professional education. In addition, the instructional site regularly hosts short-term courses and conferences for those looking to learn a new skill as well as lifelong learning courses for older adults.
Presenting with Impact
Friday, December 2, 2016 | 9 am-4pm
In this one-day workshop, we explore and practice the specific skills anyone can develop to become a consistently effective speaker. Through a series of activities, participants explore a concrete approach to connecting with an audience, delivering a message that is integrated with their body and voice.
Western Carolina University offers an affordable, membership-based education program
specifically designed to provide learning opportunities to adults ages 50 and over.
In this program, learners will participate in non-credit educational programs led
by current and retired WCU faculty and staff and other educators from the region.
Classes are held Wednesday mornings at Biltmore Park in both Spring and Fall. A list
of Spring 2016 seminar topics follows.
