After completing this two-day boot camp, participants will have all the tools, perspectives, and best practices needed for starting their own eJournals (or other related ePublications). The workshop is designed to be hands-on and interactive, getting you (and your publication team) ready to springboard your idea into reality.

Module 1 How to get started with eJournals/Publications

An overview of factors to consider when starting an e-journal, including publication policies, governance, editorial responsibility, marketing & promotion, and sustainability.

Module 5-6 How to Get Readers

Assuring that your journal is accessible through your library catalog, WorldCat, and journal
indexes makes it more discoverable and adds legitimacy to your publication. Learn
why working with your library is critical to success. (This module will cover ISSN's, Cataloging/WorldCat/DOAJ, Readership, Google, etc.)
