The commitment to diversity by faculty and staff in the Kimmel School at Western Carolina University is based on the principle that intellectual, social and cultural diversity enhance the academic experience for our students. We demonstrate this commitment to diversity by attempting to recruit and retain faculty, staff and students from diverse backgrounds. The school also works to create an enhanced, culturally diverse climate of learning that embraces and welcomes diversity. We believe that faculty, staff and students who have the opportunity to study and work in a multicultural, diverse environment are better prepared to meet the challenges they will face after graduation from Western Carolina University.
