Master of Science in Technology (MST) Program
Biltmore Park Instructional Site

The Master of Science degree in Technology (MST) program prepares qualified candidates for professional careers that require technical applications related to quality assurance, manufacturing operations, and industrial supervision.

Specifically, the program is designed to serve working professionals through evening course offerings at the Biltmore Park Facility in Asheville, NC.

Four major study areas include professional writing, a technology core, a supporting area, and an applied area. In the applied and supporting areas, the student may select specific groups of courses that provide a greater depth of study.

The program is designed with sufficient flexibility to permit students to select a combination of courses in applied and supporting areas to meet individual career needs. Additional courses provide the opportunity to develop special research and applications skills. The program requires a minimum of 30 semester hours of graduate study.

  • Program Admission Requirements:
    • GRE General Exam - The GRE requirement may be waived if the applicant: 1) possesses a minimum of three years U.S. work experience, 2) has an undergraduate overall GPA of 3.25/4.0, and 3) applies for a non-thesis option without graduate assistantship consideration
    • Three letters of recommendation from former professors or supervisors who can testify to the candidate's aptitude for graduate study.
