WCU brings rousing musical ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’ to stage April 11-14 The Drowsy Chaperone,” a playful take on classic musicals of Broadway, will stage Thursday, April 11, through Sunday, April 14, at the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center on the campus of Western Carolina University.

‘The Medium’ comes to HART on April 6-7
Western Carolina University’s School of Music, in collaboration with the Haywood Arts Repertory Theater, will present Gian Carlo Menotti’s opera “The Medium” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 7.

Rockette salute to feature students
Dance and musical theatre students will head to the Big Apple to perform in “A Salute to Rockette History,” a show choreographed and produced in part by WCU’s Karyn Tomczak.

Students presenting ‘Rashomon’ through Feb. 23 at WCU
Paying homage to traditional elements of the Noh Theater of Japan, the stylized production will be staged Wednesday through Saturday as part of the 2012-13 Mainstage season.

Arts programs seeking donations for silent auction
The College of Fine and Performing Arts at Western Carolina University is soliciting goods and services in preparation for an April silent auction to benefit WCU’s Friends of the Arts organization.
