Travel Opportunities for Teaching Fellows

The Discovery Trip provides an opportunity for rising sophomores to visit various elementary, middle, and high schools across North Carolina. Students often return to campus with a preference to teach in a particular area or grade level due to the experiences and opportunities provided on this trip.

WCU's Teaching Fellows Program also encourages students to study abroad. Our program invites students to participate in a special trip overseas each summer. Our students have traveled to a variety of countries, including Greece, Italy, France, England, Switzerland, and Germany. Learn more about the Europe Trip.

As seniors, our WCU Teaching Fellows have the opportunity to visit the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. The seniors will spend the whole day at the Academy experiencing the wealth of knowledge and strategy the Academy has to offer. This is a great opportunity that our seniors enjoy each year.
