How to Access/Request this Service
Submit a service request to the Help Desk.
System administrators and engineers at Western Carolina University are responsible for making changes to hardware or operating system configuration settings related to supported servers. Example requests include:
• Adding new hardware to physical or virtual servers.
• Attaching or modifying storage to physical or virtual servers.
• Making configuration changes to servers at the operating system level.
• Configuring server-related networking components
Limited to servers supported by the IT Division.
WCU faculty and staff
Available during regular business hours, Monday –Friday, 8AM – 5PM.
Perform tasks needed to make the change to one of the servers supported by the IT Division. IT may assess the risk of making a change and require mitigation or deferral in some instances.
