Servers & Storage - Application Maintenance

Service Description

System administrators and engineers at Western Carolina University are responsible for patching and making configuration changes related to supported server applications. Example requests include:


• Installing a hotfix or patch provided by a vendor for a supported server application.
• Adjusting settings stored in configuration files, registry keys or other locations on the server for supported applications


Requirements/Limitations

Limited to server applications supported by the IT Division.

WCU faculty and staff

Service Availability

Available during regular business hours, Monday –Friday, 8AM – 5PM.

IT’s Role

Perform tasks needed to update or reconfigure one of the server applications supported by the IT Division. IT may assess the risk of making specific changes and require mitigation or deferral in some instances.
