Surplus of IT Assets

Service Description

The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) will pickup IT assets and deliver them to the Facilities Management Warehouse for disposal.  Data on any hard drive picked up for surplus will be destroyed by DoIT staff by shredding the hard drive.

Requirements/Limitations

University assets DoIT is responsible for picking up:

  1. Computers - laptops, tablets, desktops
  2. Monitors
  3. Network printers
  4. Servers - enterprise level and Snap
  5. Enterprise level networking - switches, routers, wireless APs
  6. Smart Boards
  7. Data projectors installed in classrooms
  8. All technology assets purchased by DoIT

Service Availability

Web tools are available 24/7. Personal assistance is available by appointment, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

IT’s Role

Supporting the Controller’s office in managing IT assets and following the inventory and control policy they define.
