Engineering Technology Major

Dream: Work in design engineering.

Coming true at WCU: Helped engineer a patent-seeking solution for regional health care providers struggling to keep up with removable wheelchair foot pedals.

“I really enjoyed working with a team that was dedicated to the project. We would come up with different ideas, make small suggestions and just build off of each other as we developed several prototypes.”

Dream: Set up community youth center.

Coming true at WCU:  Participated in Freshman Leadership Institute and dozens of service-learning activities, including organizing holiday gifts for children of families in need.
