Tournament of Roses travel deposit deadline extended to June 1
The deadline for travel package deposits for those interested in accompanying Western Carolina University’s Pride of The Mountains Marching Band to the Tournament of Roses Parade on Jan. 1 in Pasadena, Calif., has been extended to June 1.

WCU Wind Ensemble to perform March 23
The Western Carolina University Wind Ensemble will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, in the Fine and Performing Arts Center.

Presentations of Carden plays to benefit county library fund
Two plays crafted by Sylva writer Gary Carden will be presented at Western Carolina University in March to benefit the new library fund of the Friends of the Jackson County Main Library.

The Smoky Mountain Brass Quintet will be performing two recitals in Western North Carolina in early March.

Choral ensembles to perform March 1
The School of Music’s choral ensembles will perform a concert at 8 p.m. Monday, March 1, in the recital hall of the Coulter Building on the campus of Western Carolina University.

Western Carolina University’s Last Minute Productions will host a series of free concerts Tuesdays and Thursdays this summer on the lawn of the A.K. Hinds University Center. All performances are at 7 p.m. The rain location is Club Illusions, on the third floor of the University Center.
